Founded in April 2002, Shanghai SEEYAO Electronic Co., Ltd is transferred on the basis of Shanghai Automotive Electronic Engineering Center jointly established by Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy of Chinese Academy of Sciences (now known as Shanghai Institute of Microsystems and Information Technology) and Shanghai Automotive Industry (Group) Corporation, and it is one of the earliest industry-university-research pilot organization in Shanghai.
The company is mainly engaged in research, development, production and sale of vehicle standard level LEDs, vehicle sensors, controllers, actuators, LED modules and other products. The products are mainly used in domestic and foreign mainstream vehicle models
Since 2004, the Company has been accepted as “a hi-tech enterprise in Shanghai”. In 2010, it was accepted as “a corporate technical center in Jiading District”, in 2011, it was awarded “a small giant business for 2010 in Jiading District”, in 2019, it was chosen as “a municipal level corporate technical center in Shanghai”, and it has been awarded a title as a gold prize enterprise with comprehensive strength in advanced manufacturing in Jiading District for the several consecutive years, and in 2020, it was awarded the title as “an enterprise that meets standards for harmonious labor relationship in Shanghai”. The company has participated in and completed a number of national and Shanghai Municipal scientific and technological projects, among which the "independent research and development of LED automobile lamps" was awarded the second prize for the municipal science and technology progress, and the third prize for the “automobile industry science and technology progress award fund committee” for the “independent development of automobile electronic signal lamps”.
